Before bed, record a few words in your own voice, or hand the phone to someone you’d get up for. That recording, the wake voice, is the alarm’s first sound. It’s optional, on any alarm.
- Record up to 15 seconds, or import a voice memo from Files.
- It plays first, then a rising tone. The two repeat until you act.
- Slide it off and the backups ring with the standard loud tone. You still say your line.
The recording stays on your phone, out of backups and analytics. It’s a real recording: the app never clones or generates a voice.

Gentle, Standard, Strict
Gentle asks for one line and rings back once. Standard asks for every line and rings back twice. Strict goes further: if speech fails, you type the line.
Never locked out
If speech fails three times (twice on Gentle), read along and tap each word instead. Settings has a permanent option for anyone who can’t use voice.
Streaks
Every morning you answer adds a day: green when spoken, amber when you tapped through. A missed morning is a red dot, and the count starts over.

Common questions.
Can’t I just slide to stop it?
Yes. Sliding stops the sound, and the alarm comes back within minutes. Speaking is the only way to make it stop coming back.
What if I slide off every one?
Then the morning is marked missed: a red dot, and your streak starts over. On Standard and Strict that is three rings, two minutes apart; on Gentle, two.
Does it really ring in Silent mode?
Yes. It rings like the built-in Clock app: through Silent mode and Focus, as a real alarm, not a notification.
What if I tap Speak and fall back asleep?
It rings again three minutes later, and again after that. The line has to be said out loud.
What if I lose my voice, or can’t speak?
There is always a way to answer. After three failed attempts (two on Gentle), you can tap to confirm instead; on Strict you type the line in full. Settings also has a permanent option for anyone who can’t use voice.
Where does my audio go?
Nowhere. Speech recognition runs on your iPhone, and your voice and affirmations never leave it. The app sends anonymous usage analytics to PostHog, an analytics service, never audio or transcripts. They are on by default and off with one switch in Settings.
Why iOS 26.1 or later?
iOS 26 is the first version that lets an app ring like the Clock app and recognize speech on the phone itself. iOS 26.1 fixed a bug that cut alarm sounds short. Every iPhone that runs iOS 26 can update for free.
Can I write my own affirmations?
Yes. Each alarm carries one to three lines: an affirmation, a verse, a prayer, a promise. Write your own, or start from the starter pack. On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, type a goal and the app drafts lines for you on the phone itself.
