An Alarmy alternative for affirmations.
Alarmy wakes you with a mission: solve the math, shake the phone, do the squats. Morning Vow wakes you with your own words: say your affirmation out loud, and the alarm stops coming back. Below is what each app’s US App Store listing says, checked September 2026, with the places Alarmy still wins. Morning Vow is ours, and it is not out yet.

A chore, or a rep
Alarmy’s listing calls them waking-up missions: math solving, memory games, shaking, squats, a photo (its example: the cover of the book you will study). They prove you are awake. Morning Vow asks for one thing instead: say your own words. The screen shows your affirmation in large type, each word lights up as the phone hears it, and the alarm stops coming back. The first thing you do each day is the promise, not a puzzle.
There is a stop button
Alarmy advertises Anti-Snooze and Power Off Prevention. Morning Vow does not fight iOS. Slide-to-stop is right there on the alert, and sliding it works — the sound stops. Then a backup alarm returns two minutes later and, on the default setting, another two minutes after that. Speaking is the only way to make it stop coming back.
Price
Alarmy is free to install; its Premium tiers run up to $59.99 a year and Pro is $69.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial. Morning Vow is $39.99 a year, $6.99 a month, or $69.99 once, also with a 7-day free trial. The honest difference: Alarmy has a free version. Morning Vow does not — after the trial you pay or you leave.
Privacy
Alarmy’s App Store privacy label lists Location, Identifiers and Usage Data under “Data Used to Track You”. Morning Vow tracks nothing: speech recognition runs on your iPhone, your voice and your affirmations never leave it, and the only traffic is anonymous usage and crash analytics plus the subscription check. No accounts, no server of ours.
Where Alarmy wins
- 247K App Store ratings and years of releases. Morning Vow has none — it is not out yet.

- Runs on iOS 17.0 or later. Morning Vow needs iOS 26.1, because the alarm and speech frameworks it is built on arrived there.

Does Alarmy have an affirmation mission?
Its US App Store listing does not mention affirmations (checked September 2026). The missions it lists are math solving, memory games, shaking, squats, and a photo.
Can Morning Vow be turned off?
Yes. Slide-to-stop is on every alert and it stops the sound. A backup alarm returns two minutes later, and on the default setting another two minutes after that. Speak your affirmation and they all stand down.
What if I can’t speak one morning?
After three failed attempts (two on the gentle setting) a fallback appears: tap to confirm, or on the savage setting type the line in full. Settings also has a permanent option for anyone who can’t use voice reliably. Streaks count the same either way.
