Different jobs
I Am is a library. Pick your daily intentions, get reminders through the day, keep affirmations on a widget, on your iPad, on your Watch. Morning Vow is a gate. It rings at the time you set, through Silent mode and Focus, shows one to three lines in large type, and stops coming back once you have said them out loud. One keeps the words in front of you all day; the other makes sure you say them once, before anything else.
Seeing versus saying
I Am’s own listing says it: “Empower yourself by verbally affirming your dreams and ambitions.” It leaves the saying to you. Morning Vow checks it. Speech recognition runs on your iPhone, each word lights up as it is heard, and the alarm stands down. Slide-to-stop still exists — it buys minutes — and speaking is the only way to make it stop coming back.
Price
I Am Premium is $14.99 a month, $59.99 a year or $149.99 for life, and its listing shows other price points too. Morning Vow is $6.99 a month, $39.99 a year or $69.99 once, with a 7-day free trial. The honest difference: I Am installs free and Premium is an upgrade. Morning Vow has no free tier — after the trial you pay or you leave.
Privacy
I Am’s App Store privacy label lists Purchases, User Content, Search History, Identifiers and Usage Data under “Data Used to Track You”. Morning Vow tracks nothing: your voice and your affirmations never leave your iPhone, and the only traffic is anonymous usage and crash analytics plus the subscription check. No accounts, no server of ours.

Does I Am have an alarm?
Its US App Store listing does not mention one (checked September 2026). It offers reminders delivered through the day, widgets, and Apple Watch support.
Can I put my I Am affirmations into Morning Vow?
You can type any line you like into Morning Vow; there is no import. Short words are harder for the phone to hear, so the editor nudges you toward longer phrasing.
Is there a lifetime price?
Both apps have one. I Am Premium (Lifetime) is $149.99. Morning Vow’s lifetime purchase is $69.99.
